Spanish answering service: your callers answered in Spanish, first try
A Spanish answering service answers a business's calls in Spanish with a Spanish-speaking receptionist. CloudSecretary handles Spanish and English on the same number and in the same seat, 24/7/365, so a Spanish-speaking caller is answered in their language immediately — no menu, no transfer, no callback — and the message reaches you in English.
- Answered by people, in English and Spanish
- One answered call, one price — booking and transfers included
- Your first month free, no setup fee

What a Spanish-speaking caller runs into
The recording is in English. The instruction to press two is in Spanish, buried in the middle, after the caller has already decided whether this business wants their money.
Press two and the usual outcomes are a longer hold, a voicemail box, or a person who apologizes in English. Outside business hours it’s often nothing at all, because the Spanish-speaking shift is a daytime arrangement.
For a plumbing emergency at eleven at night, that’s the end of the call and the start of the next one — to somebody else.
How this works instead
The receptionist opens with your greeting. The caller answers in Spanish. The conversation continues in Spanish, with the same person, on the same call. There is no transfer, no second queue and nothing for the caller to do.
Your script exists in both languages and we write the Spanish version with you, not by running the English one through a translator. The questions are the same questions; the wording is the wording your customers actually use.
The message comes back to you in English, with the caller’s own phrasing quoted where it carries meaning. You don’t need to speak Spanish to run a business that answers in Spanish.
Vocabulary is where translated scripts fall apart
"Se reventó una tubería." "Tengo una cita para el martes y necesito cambiarla." "¿Ustedes cobran por la visita?" These are ordinary sentences, and a script written in English and rendered literally into Spanish will produce a stilted answer to all three.
We keep the terminology per sector in both languages — the trade words, the medical scheduling words, the legal intake words — and the urgency rules are identical in either language, because a burst pipe is a burst pipe.
For businesses whose inbound is mostly Spanish
If most of your callers speak Spanish, you can set Spanish as the default greeting and treat English as the exception. Same number, same plan, reversed default. Nothing about the price changes: one answered call = one billable call, whatever we do on it, in whichever language it happened.
Common pairings: law firms doing intake in Spanish, medical practices, HVAC and plumbing contractors, and property management portfolios.
Questions people ask
What is a Spanish answering service?
A Spanish answering service answers a business's phone calls in Spanish, using the business's own greeting and script. At CloudSecretary it isn't a separate product: Spanish and English are handled by the same receptionist on the same number, so callers aren't routed or asked to press anything.
Do you charge extra for Spanish?
No. A Spanish call is billed exactly like an English one — one answered call = one billable call, whatever we do on it. There is no bilingual surcharge and no separate Spanish plan.
Are the receptionists fluent Spanish speakers?
Every shift is staffed with receptionists who hold a full business conversation in Spanish, including on the difficult calls. The honest test is listening to one, which is why the sample calls are published rather than described.
What language does the message arrive in?
English, with the caller's own words quoted where the exact phrasing matters. If you'd rather receive messages in Spanish, that's a setting.
Do you answer in Spanish at night?
Yes. Both languages are covered on every shift, 24/7/365. There is no window where Spanish callers get a different level of service.
